Alarms & Sirens



Many parts of Blenheim lie on the banks of the Schoharie Creek.  A New York City reservoir and The New York Power Authority operate facilities above the town. • These two entities have large reservoirs controlled by dams. • In the event of a failure or breech of these dams, there is a series of sirens that will sound. • A test of The Dam Siren goes off on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at noon. Comprehensive Plan



Comprehensive Plan Committee In November 2010, the Town of Blenheim appointed a Comprehensive Plan Committee consisting of six to seven members tasked with developing a Comprehensive Plan via a public input process.  The Committee worked closely with Schoharie County Planning and Development to generate the final plan.   For Blenheim residents only: Garbage is collected for disposal at the Town Hall every Saturday between the hours of 8:30 am and 11:30 am. The recycling container is also located at the Town Hall site. Re-Cycling – ONLY clean, loose items to be put into the green re-cycling bins.  ONLY plastic, paper, glass, cans and cardboard to be put, loose, into bin.  No bagged items – dump out any bags – Clean, loose re-cycling only.  Any other garbage items go into trash truck.
